LIVE LAUGH LUG TEE
LIVE LAUGH LUG TEE
LIVE LAUGH LUG! Because if this shirt resonates with you, you better be laughing at your relationship with bikes.
Bella Canvas calls this shirt colour "Dusty Blue". It's a lovely soft teal. Benjamin Moore makes a paint colour called "Kensington Green" which is nearly identical to this. Kensington Green is described as "A refreshing blue-green with calming gray undertones". I painted my bedroom that colour, and I would call my bedroom blue. I painted the closet door "Bryce Canyon" which is wildly similar to the ink colour used here
A bit darker than Bryce Canyon, the ink here is equally as reminiscent of good ol' dirt in the southern United States and sunsets in the west. I pigmented this ink with various tints of ochre. Making this ink felt and smelled like playing in the mud. It was a lot of work and it was the most fun I have had making a shirt in a long time.
Also printed on creamy white tees if you don't look good in blue
- I made the drawing
- Victory Factory in New York made the physical screen
- I printed the transparency
- Ulano made the emulsion
- I burned the screen
- I used various earth pigments to colour this ink, and Permaset mixed up all the binders and stuff to make it something that will stay on the shirt forever
- Somebody at a WRAP certified Bella Canvas factory sewed the shirt
- I printed (or will print) the shirt
